Support & FAQ

The questions coaches and parents ask most. If yours isn’t here, email support@dugoutops.com — we typically reply within one business day.

How do I livestream a game?

Open the game in the DugoutOps app and tap Go Live. Point your phone at the field and start broadcasting — no extra equipment, no capture hardware. Everyone following your team can watch in real time, and the broadcast is saved as a replay when the game ends.

Streaming is part of the Team and Pro coach plans. The Free plan includes three game broadcasts, counted per account rather than per team, so you can see how it works before you upgrade.

How do parents follow the team and watch games?

The coach shares the team’s join link or join code. Opening it brings up the roster, the parent picks their child, and sends a guardian request. The coach approves it — that approval is what connects the family to the player, so if a parent is waiting to see stats, an unapproved request is usually why.

Teams can also be found without a link. In the app, families can search for a team by name; on the web, every team that has discovery switched on has a public page at dugoutops.com/team showing its schedule, opponents and final scores. Those pages carry no player names, photos or stats — team information only. A coach can turn both off in Team Settings → Discovery.

Being found is not the same as being followed: a family still sends a guardian request and the coach still approves it. Once approved, watching live games and replays and seeing your player’s stats is free.

What do the paid plans add?

Coaches start free with scoring, pitch counts, roster, and schedule. Team adds unlimited streaming, full stats, and highlight clips; Pro adds voice scoring, AI lineup suggestions, batter spray charts, and pitch location heatmaps, and includes Pro Parent for the team’s owner and head coach.

For families, watching is always free. Plus adds saved highlight clips, downloads, and the full stat charts; Pro Parent adds unlimited clips, a season reel, and cross-team career stats. Full detail is on the pricing page.

How do I get a highlight clip or a reel?

Scoring a game generates highlights automatically — the plays are already clipped and waiting in the app after the game. Free accounts can see them; saving and downloading a clip is what a plan unlocks.

Plus includes a set number of saved clips and reels each month, Pro Parent is unlimited, and any single play, game reel, or season recap can be bought on its own without a subscription.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Cancel wherever you bought. If you subscribed inside the iPhone or Android app, the purchase belongs to Apple or Google — manage it in your device’s subscription settings (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or the Play Store account menu). We can’t cancel those for you.

If you subscribed on dugoutops.com, it’s billed by card through Stripe and you can manage it from your account on the web. Coach Team and Pro plans are always billed this way. One-time purchases — a single play, a game reel, a season recap — aren’t recurring and don’t need cancelling.

How do I delete my account or remove specific data?

You can delete your account and its data at dugoutops.com/delete-account — no login required, we confirm by email. In the mobile app it’s under Settings → Delete Account.

To remove something specific rather than everything — a game, a player, a clip — a coach can delete it from the team it belongs to. Parents and guardians who want a child’s video or photos taken down can email us and we’ll handle it.

My team has a public page on Google. What is on it?

Every team can have a public page at dugoutops.com/team — listed in a directory and visible to search engines. It shows the team name and organization, city and state, age group and sport, the schedule with dates and venues, opponents, final scores, and the season record.

It never shows player names, photos or statistics. The page describes a team, not the children on it.

The page starts turned on, and the head coach controls it in Team Settings → Discovery — not the family. Turning it off stops us serving the page immediately, but cannot remove a copy a search engine has already stored. If the page concerns you, speak to your coach or email support@dugoutops.com.

How does team chat work, and who can message my child?

Each team has one team chat everyone eligible can post in, a separate room for the head and assistant coaches, and direct messages between a coach and a family or between coaches. Private messaging between two families is not offered — no adult on the team can open a private thread with another family.

Messages are checked before they are sent. Profanity, slurs and sexually explicit content are refused outright and never delivered; threatening language may still be delivered but is flagged for your team’s coaches, because whether something is a threat usually depends on context a filter cannot see. No filter catches everything.

Anyone can report a message to the team’s coaches or block another person. Coaches can remove a message or remove someone from that team’s chat. Messages are deleted about 90 days after they are sent — chat is a convenience for team business, not a records system.

Is my kid's information safe?

Accounts belong to adults. Players don’t sign in — a player’s profile is created by their coach, and only an approved guardian or the team’s staff can see that player’s roster details and stats.

Game video works like an unlisted link: it isn’t listed or searchable anywhere, and we don’t publish it, but anyone given the link can open it — so share game and clip links only with people you’d want watching. Guardians can ask us to remove a child’s media at any time, and we don’t sell anyone’s data or run ads. The privacy policy has the full detail.

Something isn't working. How do I reach a human?

Email support@dugoutops.com and tell us the email on your account, your team name, and whether you’re on iOS, Android, or the web — that’s usually enough for us to fix it on the first reply. More detail on what to include is on the contact page.
